James “Brad” DeGarmo

Haviland- James “Brad” DeGarmo, 56, died August 20, 2020 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. He was born March 3, 1964 in Pratt, Kansas, to Alvin and Judy (Higgins) DeGarmo. Brad had lived in Belvidere and Haviland, Kansas. He graduated from Haviland High School in 1982 and Vo-Tec in Liberal, Kansas. He was a mechanic and a farmer. Brad enjoyed listening to music and fishing. Brad was a member of the Haviland United Methodist Church. He is survived by his father Alvin DeGarmo, two brothers Jesse DeGarmo and friend Lawanna Lemons, Topeka, Kansas and Jason DeGarmo and wife Shelli, Hutchinson, Kansas, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Judy DeGarmo on April 11, 2020. Memorial services and Celebration of Brad’s Life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday August 29, 2020 at the Haviland United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Fillmore presiding. A memorial service for Judy DeGarmo will also be held at the same time. Brad’s burial will precede the services in Haviland Cemetery, Haviland. Memorials are suggested to the Haviland United Methodist Church in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054.
